Certified First Responder Counselor

Hi, my name is Anastasia. I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) with over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. But what does that really mean? It means that I have had the opportunity to support individuals and families when they are at their best, worst, and everything in between.

As your therapist, I will meet you where you are. I recognize the challenges that each person faces are unique to you, and I will remain committed to your progress every step of the way.  You can expect to set goals to help you get to where you want to be and be encouraged to tell me if you feel like we need to make changes or redirect to achieve those goals.

As a military spouse myself, I have a passion for working with our first responders and military families, leading me to gain additional training and certifications to meet the needs of these specialized populations. I am a certified first responder counselor, and a star behavioral health provider for these exact reasons.

I also love working with adolescents and adults of all ages. To help those experiencing trauma, loss and challenges with adjusting to their situations. There are so many times when we don’t feel heard. When we feel like no one understands and we can’t see through the fog. Or when we catch ourselves second guessing everything and going down the “what if" train.. I will seek to help you get through the fog and learn how to stop those “what if” thoughts that are crowding your mind.

We are all busy and often don’t feel like we have time to commit to a weekly therapy session. Good news, I provide therapy fully virtually. This means that you have the opportunity of being in your most comfortable space, at a time that is convenient, with your furry friends around and without having to worry about adding in travel time to come into the office. As long as you are physically located in the state of Maryland at the time of our appointment, we are good to go!

I am fully transparent in the therapy setting. If you have questions, ask them. If you want to know why I am doing something or where we are going, ask me. I strive to show you that this a space for you to be seen, heard and feel safe.  I don’t take myself too seriously and I don’t expect you to, either.

If it sounds like we would be a good fit, give us a call and let's get you scheduled. I can’t wait to meet you and help you work towards your unique goals.
